Spelaeogriphacea: SpeciesJ.K. Lowry & M. YermanPotiicoara brasiliensis Pires, 1987 Potiicoara brasiliensis Pires, 1987: 226, figs 1-22. Type material. HOLOTYPE: female, 7.1 mm, MZSP 7343. PARATYPES: 2 females, MZSP 7344; 3 females, danified, IOUSP 198; 2 females, 1 juvenile, IOUSP 199. Type locality. Gruta do Lago Azul, Bodoquena Mountains (21° 08'S 56° 35'W) Brazil. Diagnosis. Based on Pires, 1987: 226, figs 1-22. Head antenna 1 not sexually dimorphic; 2 long and broad as peduncular article 3. Mandibular palp with 3 articles; maxilla 1 with 2 apical pappose setae; maxillipedal palp articles 2 and 3 with few mesial setae. Maxillipedal epipod thick and ovate. Maxillipedal epipod as long as endite. Pleopods 1-4 similar in juveniles and females. Pleopods 1-4 endopod without basal, laterally directed lobe. Pleopod 5 well developed. Oostegites on pereopods 1-5. Habitat. Freshwater, or Stygobiont. Distribution. Bodoquena Mountains, Brazil.
