Type material. HOLOTYPE: 12.8 mm, WAM 147-95. PARATYPES: 14.2 mm, WAM 168-93, 14.5 mm, WAM 160-93.

Type locality. Cave C-28, Cape Range Peninsula (22º25'S 113º46'E), Western Australia.

Description. Based on Yager & Humphreys, 1996: 173, figs 1-17. Body length short (10.1-14.5 mm), with 21-24 segments; pleura rounded posterolaterally. Head shield subrectangular. Antenna 1 dorsal ramus (exopod) with 13 articles; ventral ramus (endopod) with 10-12 articles. Antenna 2 exopod with about 50-70 plumose setae along margin. Maxilla 1i0 prehensile; articles 2 and 3 free; article 4 with 1 broad based stout apical setae and 5 robust anterior setae; article 5 with about 10 short to long robust setae, without endite, posterior margin straight; article 7 a long slender terminal claw. Maxilla 2 prehensile; long, narrow distal to point of flexure; article 5 with a fringe of slender setae along posterior margin; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with a fringe of slender setae along posterior margin; article 7 with long central spine, a row of subterminal spines and proximally opposing simple setae. Maxilliped prehensile; long, narrow distal to article 5 (point of flexure); with a fringe of slender setae along posterior margin; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with a fringe of slender setae along posterior margin; article 6 divided into 3 articles; article 7 with long central spine, a row of subterminal spines and proximally opposing simple setae. Uropodal rami about 1.5 x length of anal segment.

Distribution. Cape Range Peninsula, Western Australia.
