Leucothoe goowera J.L. Barnard Leucothoe goowera J.L. Barnard, 1974: 94, fig. 58. Type material. HOLOTYPE: female (ovigerous), 15.6 mm, WAM 9-69. Type locality. Geraldton, north-west of Bluff Point, Western Australia, about 140 m depth. Description. Based on J.L. Barnard, 1974: 94, fig. 58 [off Geraldton, Fremantle and Garden Island, Western Australia]. Head lateral cephalic lobe with apical cusp; cephalic keel present, cephalic keel about twice size of epistome; rostrum small to medium in size. Antenna 2 slender. Mandibles and maxillae well developed; mandibular palp 3-articulate. Maxilla 1 palp 2-articulate. Maxilliped ischial endite (outer plate) vestigial or absent, with lateral flange. Peraeon. Gnathopod 1 coxa large, not hidden by coxa 2, anteroventral corner produced, anteroventral corner truncated; dactylus well developed. Gnathopod 2 coxa short, broader than long, rounded anteroventrally; carpus with simple apex; propodus palm convex, propodus palm weakly crenulate or smooth along entire margin; dactylus, inner margin smooth. Peraeopod 3 coxa longer than broad, anteroventral corner overriding lateral face of coxa 2 and extending freely below it, ventral margin slightly convex. Peraeopod 4 coxa, posterior margin with posteroventral lobe. Peraeopods 5 to 7 basis expanded. Pleon. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner narrowly rounded. Habitat. Marine. Depth zone. Littoral, or Continental shelf. Distribution. Queensland: Wiepa (AM). New South Wales: Split Solitary Isalnd (AM); Coffs Harbour (AM). Victoria: Port Phillip (J.L. Barnard, 1974); Western Port (J.L. Barnard, 1974). Western Australia: Fremantle (J.L. Barnard, 1974); Garden Island (J.L. Barnard, 1974); Geraldton (J.L. Barnard, 1974). Geographic areas. North-eastern Australia to South-eastern Australia to Southern Australia to South-western Australia.
