Cryptocorynectes haptodiscus Yager, 1987: 310, figs 7-10.

Type material. HOLOTYPE: 9.8 mm, USNM 228198.

Type locality. Dan's Cave, Abaco Island, Bahama Islands.

Description. Based on Yager, 1987: 310, figs 7-10. Body length medium (9.7-17.6 mm), with 28-32 segments; pleura rounded posterolaterally. Head shield subrectangular. Antenna 1 dorsal ramus (exopod) with 16-18 articles; ventral ramus (endopod) with 10-12 articles. Antenna 2 exopod with about 34-40 plumose setae along margin. Maxilla 1 prehensile; articles 2 and 3 fused; article 4 with 3 robust apical setae; article 5 with about 10 short to long robust setae, without endite, posterior margin straight; article 7 a long slender terminal claw. Maxilla 2 prehensile; enlarged distally; article 5 with discoidal sensilla medially; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with discoidal sensilla medially; article 7 with long central spine, a row of subterminal spines and proximally opposing simple setae. Maxilliped prehensile; enlarged distally; with discoidal sensilla medially; posterior margin distal to point of flexure with discoidal sensilla medially; article 6 divided into 3 articles; article 7 with long central spine, a row of subterminal spines and proximally opposing simple setae. Uropodal rami shorter or subequal in length to anal segment.

Distribution. Abaco Island, Bahamas.
